Rio Tinto Mining Operations in Western Australia were doing a risk assessment for their port facilities in case of a cyclone hitting the coast. I was subcontracted by ARL for modeling and texturing many of the facilities depicted here.
Normal Port Operations
The ships and facilities were all modeled, the landscape was mapped either with LIDAR or with stereo photography using a drone.
Lockdown Procedure
This sequence shows the lockdown procedure of the port in case of an approaching cyclone (hurricane for the US folks). The material was going to be used for training purposes.
